Great Kids Book Series The Magic Treehouse

Incredibly unexciting for the first big series book post. Maybe y’all were expecting something that might be a bit more creative, esoteric, or perhaps even adventurous, sorry to disappoint. As I mentioned in my About Me page I am taking time off to hang out with the kids a bit more. Thus, first post and probably a few more afterwards are the books I’m reading, with them.

The Magic Treehouse series. By no means great literature, these are books that were introduced at their school. Not sure how many they’ve actually read. I bought one a few weeks ago for evening story time at our house to see what it was all about. Thoughts, the general plots are ok, perfectly fine and kid friendly. Both of mine are in elementary school and they can mostly read these on their own, more or less. Age appropriate for 6 to 8 and change? One thing I do really like which is a big one, the characters and topics they cover – Egypt, Civil War, Amazon, Titanic. The books mash in a bit of “history” or at least topics they’ll learn in school so I’m thinking this will give them a vague familiarity with the topics beforehand.
