McSweeney’s Todays Adult Distraction

Ok so, full disclosure up front just so it doesn’t sound out of the blue. I’ve been a fan of McSweeney’s for years. Intelligent political and cultural humor that will typically elicit a good chuckle from me. Although tops in escapist reading will always be The Dodo. After the past number of entries detailing all of the kids books that we in the Ramos household have been reading feel it was becoming necessary to prove that I do have a life separate from my kids, if however small that might be – ie. they are all at school and I get to have lunch by myself and take 30 or 40 minutes to randomly peruse my favorite non-business related websites.

On the political spectrum McSweeney’s leans left, but truth be told as any good humor rag goes it takes the piss out of all sides.
